Do you ever feel like dice without any dots: blank and without purpose? Even blank dice have a purpose: As a dad and his children started a board game, the oldest asked how would they play the game since there were no dots on the dice. There was no way for them to know what they rolled. The dad said trust me. So the first child rolled the dice and the dad said you rolled a 5! These children trusted their dad in such a great way. They played this entire game, having a great time and the dad taught his children about having a purpose and having a good time without knowing how the game would turn out.
Much like this board game, we can have those times in our lives of feeling like “blank dice”. Meaning living life thinking we have no purpose or without knowing how things will turn out. As the children trusted their dad during the game to tell them which way to go on the board game, we have the heavenly Father to guide us through life. We can trust Him. There is never a moment that He doesn’t know our every move, which path we should take and the paths we will take. He always knows right where we will land. We should trust Him completely because even during those times of feeling like “blank dice” we have a purpose; He sees our “dots” on every side, when we cannot. In that complete trust He will guide us down the right path of life to help us get to the finish line of life – heaven.
Lord God, Thank You for always showing me that You have a purpose for me especially in those moments when I feel like I don’t have one. My purpose is in You, because of You and by You. This world may try to tell me I won’t amount to much or that I don’t have a real purpose, but I trust You Lord and not the words of this world.
