Do you want to know what true absolute pure beauty is? I mean the type of beauty when you look upon it a sense of peace and rejoicing comes over you even though it’s not your beauty you are looking at. Well let me attempt to explain the experience. While sitting in church service as God was preparing His people for song specials, a request was made by someone amongst the congregation for a gentleman to sing a specific song. He so graciously accepts, for he knew if they were requesting this very particular song that meant that it was needed, therefore he went. As this gentleman went over to the piano, sat down and began to search through the hymnal for the song, he began to testify how he might not do this song justice because it was a very well known song. And yet he would go, he would sing it to the best of his own personal ability. But you see that’s where things become more interesting and beautiful. You see this gentleman, at one time told his Lord that he would go wherever his Lord lead him, needed him and would do his personal best, giving all of his own personal ability and then God steps in fulfills with the perfection that He is. Now as this gentleman, began to play (he admits his flaws as a piano player), then he softly begins to sing (again admitting his imperfections as a singer) the sweetest spirit shown from him. This gentleman was simply obeying the Lord as he told Him he would go, here am I Lord, use me for I am willing to be Your humble servant; I was absolutely blessed beyond measure and the most humbling but yet comforting peace came over me. Things will be fine for the great I Am is with thee. I saw pure beauty! A beauty I had never known nor seen before. Maybe I hadn’t been willing to see it before now or maybe I was too “busy” to see it or maybe it just wasn’t the right time. We all know God’s timing is perfect! But as I sat there enjoying the song to its fullest, singing along (as I usually do) and inviting the Holy Spirit to surround me, my eyes were opened to something I had not been able to see before. The most beautiful spirit settled upon someone else in a service and I had front row seats. Yes I’ve witnessed and can testify to many God given gifts, talents and answered prayers happening during many services over the years. But this was different and maybe only meant for me at that time, and do not misunderstand I do NOT boast of myself this is all GOD!! For I can do nothing without my Savior and King. The most pure beauty I’ve ever seen shown brightly, poured out peace, kindled and encouraged my hope and allowed me to rejoice while someone else worshipped God in the manner that they were sent. This gentleman probably never saw himself doing such things. Maybe he thought he wasn’t good enough, he isn’t talented enough because people like to hear good singers with great voices, he isn’t where he needs to be in order to be used by God (according to whose standards), or that he has to many irons in the fire to be adding one more thinking “well how can he be of full service to God then”. But God, saw the purest beauty in this gentleman and used him even though he thought he shouldn’t be used.

My friends, I pray that God grants you the opportunity to see the pure beauty, to bask in it and to find amazing comfort in it. I pray that you never hinder someone from being used by God and I pray you never turn down the opportunity to be a servant of the Lord. You do not know who is waiting for the blessing in which they’ll receive as you say here am I Lord, use me, I’ll go and then pure beauty takes place.

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for the times I’ve not allowed You to open my eyes to such pure beauty. I am in awe of Your long-suffering patience with me. I am extremely unworthy and yet You saw fit to allow me the fullest opportunity to be saturated in the amazing peace as I witnessed the Spirit resting upon another. To witness their sincere worship for You is the most beautiful attribute. I Thank You Lord for using that person, I pray You bless that person for going, for being willing and for saying here am I Lord, use me. It is my humble prayer that You reveal such pure beauty to as many that will accept it. In an age of photo filters, plastic surgery and avatars to look youthful, beautiful and more like “yourself”; we have no idea what pure beauty truly is.
